Word file embed tests (viewdoc macro)
- Employment of Minors, Near Relatives and Domestic Partners.doc
- Pros:
- Word file embed method generally keeps list formatting e.g. main ordered list 5-a-i etc.
- quick and easy
- Cons:
- yellow sidebars do not convert
- paragraph spacing is exaggerated
- some list elements don't convert properly e.g. circle bullets get changed to section symbols
- edits to Word attachment display cumulatively - necessary to delete original attachment and re-upload rather than overwrite the existing attachment
- Confluence does not keep version history
- Confluence search finds terms in both the wiki page and .doc file attachment but the .doc file attachment is displayed first
- Could not get the FF WebDAV launcher to work to edit Word files "round-trip" - edited files must be re-attached
- Pros:
