The IT Backups Group has partnered with UC Berkeley Backups service to reduce your backup costs and improve backup/restore efficiency. UCB Backups service has recently switched their backup program from Tivoli to Commvault. Thus, we have completed the migration of our LBNL clients to Commvault in October, 2020. Commvault Backup Service Charge
a. Two-copy option (we recommend this option since it provides redundancy)
- First copy stored on disk at UC Berkeley Data Center @ $0.28/GB (per month)
- Second copy stored on disk at San Diego Supercomputer Center @ $0.17/GB (per month)
b. One-copy option (no redundancy; you can choose this option when your budget is constrained)
