To address overheating on certain Dell laptops
- For Laptops; Series 7680s and Series 5000s
Always backup your data before you modify any BIOS setting

Resolution:

1	Start with the device powered off; power the device on and hit F2 when you see the Dell splash screen to open the BIOS
2	Expand the Performance Section by clicking the small plus next to the section name
3	Click Intel TurboBoost
4	Uncheck the box next to 'Enable Intel TurboBoost'
5	Click Apply
6	Click OK on the dialogue box Note: the box for 'Save as Custom User Settings?' can be left as is
7	Click Exit
