ISSUE:
Folders/files with special characters do not display on the Mac version of Google Drive for Desktop. The special character in folder/file names display in the web Google Drive as squares. In Windows, the special character displays as a center dot.
This mainly affects the folders/files that were migrated from condo-storage to Google Drive. Some of these special characters were an extra space at the end of the folder name, a period at the end of the folder name, and a forward slash in the folder name.
FIX:
Deleting the special character will resolve this issue.
