Installing eduroam on an iOS device is easy. Visit https://cat.eduroam.org/ and download the installer. The example below is from an iPad2.

Note, if you have an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini, iPad Pro, iPod Touch) acquired on June 6, 2011 or later, then you have an iOS device 5 or newer. Although based on iOS these devices were not tested for eduroam compatibility: Apple TV and Apple Watch.

1From the Home Screen, open a browser, such as Apple "Safari" often found at the bottom row of icons.
2Type "cat.eduroam.org" into the URL field. The eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool) weboage is the official place to download the installer.

Tap the blue-gray button that says, "eduroam user: download your eduroam installer" to download the software.

 

4Select "Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory" as the Home institution.

Verify "Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory" is the "Selected institution".

eduroam will auto-detect your device. The browser should indicate your iOS device.

Tap the "Apple iOS mobile devices (iOS 7 and above)" blue-gray button, .

6You will see the status message indicating that downloading has started.

When the profile has been installed, you will see this screen. Tap "Install".

Agree to the Privacy, Security, Copyright, Disclaimer, and Accessibility text by tapping "Install" in the upper-right corner.

9Enter your passcode if you enabled the feature on your device.
10Enter your LBL username and tap "Next" in the upper-right corner. Tap "Next".
11Enter your LBL password and tap "Next" in the upper-right corner. Tap "Next".
12You will see the "Profile Installed" screen again but without the "Install" button. Tap "Done".
13You will return to this screen.

Verify that you can join the eduroam network. To do this, go to the device's Settings. One way is to click the device's Home Button to return to the Home Screen.

Tap "Settings".

15In your Settings, choose your new Wi-Fi network to eduroam by tapping "eduroam".
16Note the checkmark next to eduroam as your Wi-Fi network.
