DIrectory Search
www.lbl.gov/ds is the home of the lab's directory search.
As of May 30, the look and feel for search will change
- search for partial words (for example the first four letters of name) can be accomplished with the * wildcard character.
- smit* will result in names such as smith or smithe
- *smit will result in names such as asmit, aaaasmit and so on
- search for phone numbers will accept the extension if that is all you know
- search by employee number requires all 6 digits (e.g. 000111) as well as the wildcard similar to names (either preceeding or after the numbers you know)
