We support Windows, Mac, and Linux systems in a variety of ways including a software download page and workstation/server support offered by the IT Divisions User Support Dept.
As of 9/17/2009:
The standard Windows Operating System is XP. We intend to deploy systems with Windows 7 after the first service pack has been released and we have a standard image that works for general lab use.
We see no reason to upgrade an XP system to Windows 7 , and recommend users change operating systems at the time they acquire new hardware.
The Standard Mac OS is Snow Leopard.
The IT Division maintains standard software images for Windows Desktops and Windows Laptops from Dell.
