For creating diagrams, LBL recommends using diagrams.net (formerly draw.io). diagrams.net is an open source application, provides most of the functionality that Lucidchart provides and it works with GSuite apps, such as Google Drive and Google Docs.

The diagrams can be exported to various formats: PNG, PDF, JPEG, SVG, VSDX, XML, HTML.

Besides the online tool, diagrams.net also offers a stand-alone, offline desktop application. It works on Windows, macOs, and Linux. Download the application from https://get.diagrams.net.
