Purpose of knowledge article

  • This knowledge article provides instructions on signing in and out of Adobe software.
  • This applies to all Adobe software
  • This applies to Windows and macOS

Resolution

    This instruction will use Adobe Acrobat as an example.

    Open up the Adobe software you need to sign in and you may see the sign-in window auto appear.

    If the sign-in window does not auto-appear, you can click the Sign in option on the top right corner of the Adobe software.


    2 You can sign in by typing in your LBL email then clicking Continue or selecting Continue with Google and you will be redirected to our default browser.

    You will be prompted to log in with your Berkeley Lab Identity account and LBL email or given an option to select your LBL email account.

    Note: this depends if you use multiple Gmail/Google accounts or if your default browser requires you to sign in again for Adobe.

    You will be asked to select a profile, select the US DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY (DOE) profile.

    After selecting, you should see a message saying you may return to your Adobe software.

    When you return to your Adobe software, you may see the same profile selection window you saw in the previous step.

    If you do, select the US DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY (DOE) profile again.

    You are signed in to your Adobe software.

    1 Open up the Adobe software. no image
    2 Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.

    3 Select Sign out.

    Click Sign out again to confirm.

    Note: when signing out of one Adobe software, it will sign out of all Adobe software on the computer. There is currently no option to sign out of just a specific Adobe software.

    After signing out, it is recommended to restart the computer before signing back into the Adobe software again
