Google Analytics is used to collect, measure, and analyze website traffic. It can also be used to track other types of data, such as apps for mobile devices and user behavior. Berkeley Lab staff generally utilize Google Analytics in order to better understand how users interact with digital content (e.g., the paths users take to navigate to content and what is driving engagement) and to assess the popularity and effectiveness of news articles, announcements, and campaigns.

The latest release of the analytics platform is Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
