Purpose of Knowledge Article:

This article is to provide guidance and minimum security requirements for computers that will connect to Berkeley Lab's network.

Resolution:

• If you are just bringing a computer to use on-site with a DHCP address - see Cyber Security Requirements.
• If you are working with more complex systems and/or data flows. For example, working with sensitive instruments that should only be controlled by limited authorized computers, but also needs the results to be public to the world automatically - see Security Design Guide.
