Chrome OS 88 added a native device performance monitoring for Chromebook call Diagnostics and this FAQ will show how to activate and use it.

Requirements:

  • A working Chromebook
  • Chrome OS version 88 or higher


1Launch Google Chrome and type in the address bar type in chrome://flags#diagnostics-app and hit enter

2You will see Diagnostics app show up. To the right of it select Enabled

3You will be prompt to restart, go a head and restart

1Click on the Launcher icon and search for Diagnostics and click on Diagnostics

Diagnostics app give the option to monitor 3 things and allow you to run test on all 3 of them:

  • Battery
  • CPU
  • Memory

3Lastly, it give you the ability to save the session log in to .txt file
