Tip of the Month: Mysterious messages that play as dial tone?
If your caller hangs up rather than leave you a message, the voice mail system may record the dial tone after the line has been disconnected.  If you hear dial tone after pressing [5] to listen to your messages, simply press the [8] key to hear time and date of the message, along with their Caller ID if it was made available.  Make note of the information if you wish, then feel free to delete the "dial tone" message.
