The following instructions apply for Apple's OS X El Capitan (10.11), Yosemite, (10.10), Mavericks (10.9), Mountain Lion (10.8), and Lion (10.7). The self-installer is very quick and easy-to-follow.

1 | On your OS X device, verify Wi-Fi is turned On, and you must be within Berkeley Lab's eduroam network. | |
2 | Open a browser and navigate to https://cat.eduroam.org. Download the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory eduroam CAT installer by clicking on the blue button that has the text, "eduroam user: download your eduroam installer". | |
3 | A window will auto-detect your home institution. Choose "Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory". | |
4 | The website will auto-detect the correct version of the CAT installer. The blue button should reflect your computer's OS X version (in this case, El Capitan). Click the blue button. | |
5 | A file named something similar to "eduroam-OS_X-LBNL.mobileconfig" will download. Open that file by clicking on it. | |
6 | Click Continue. | |
7 | Enter your LDAP username and password. You will also have a chance to enter this information later. Click Install. | |
8 | Acknowledge the legal text by clicking Install. | |
9 | Enter your Apple ID and password. | |
10 | Your profile now includes root certificates for authentication. | |
11 | Now, you may connect to eduroam network. On the upper-right corner, click the Wi-Fi icon. Click on the detected eduroam listing. | |
12 | If you have connected successfully, you will see a checkmark next to the "eduroam" listing. |
