This fix, turning off Real time presence in Microsoft Office applies to both Windows and macOS for users that transition from lab Network drive to Google Drive
If you are getting OLE error message when working with Microsoft Excel or if you are experiencing delays of several minutes when saving Microsoft files, try the following fix:

Top right of your menu bar:

| 2 | Click on the gear icon at the top right corner |

| 3 | In the Preferences page, uncheck the box for See if someone else is editing a shared Microsoft Office file below Real-time Presence in Microsoft Office and click Save |

| 4 | Click "Restart now" to restart Google Drive Prompt |
