An Apple ID is an account that allows you to access Apple Services such as iTunes, the App Store and iCloud. It is used for downloading apps, creating back ups of your information and more.
When creating an Apple ID for use with LBNL devices, please observe the following:
Use your Lab email address as your Apple ID account ([email protected])
Make sure you use a complex password! (8 characters, alphanumeric)
You can obtain an Apple ID without a credit card, by creating the account while purchasing a free app from the iPad or iPhone App Store. See Apple instructions, or contact the Help Desk ([email protected]).
