Slices are mechanically and thermally compatible with a system that interfaces with the  (question) standard chassis.

Slices operate within performance requirements across the operational temperature range. 

Slices can operate in a mode that allows full manual testing.

Sufficient dynamic range (question)
  • one or more variable attenuators/bypasssable amplifiers

Software cannot break the hardware.
  • Self-biased or biasing controlled locally using hardware controller
  • Maximum DAC output cannot result in component overdrive

Report critical telemetry (in what format - raw analog, or add ADC? transceiver?)
  • RF input power
  • RF output power
  • Reflected power from next stage?
  • Temperature of most thermally constrained component

Failure detection and reporting
  • Voltage rail short detection?
  • Temperature out of range?
  • Reporting depends on local controller (or lack thereof)
Store and report identifying information (in what manner?)
  • Board serial number
  • All current hardware settings

Debug features (desired)
