You did not remove/uninstall Google Drive. It suddenly disappears and you can no longer access Google Drive, or get an error message unable to access.
This can happen on both Windows and Apple computers.
For Windows, you may see the error message "Location is not available": You will see your letter drive followed by SharedDrives -- in this example the letter drive is G so you see G:\Shared Drives\File Path. If you use the letter R, then your error message will start with R:\Shared Drives\File Path
Resolution
Click on the instruction you want to expand it:

Click on the StartMenu
Locate Google Drive under the list of programs. Click on it

Locate Google Drive icon at the bottom right of the taskbar. You my need to click the on (carrot icon) first
Confirm that it is signed with your LBNL account
If it is asking you to sign in, go head and sign in with your LBNL account credential

You should be able to access your Google Drive now

Click on the (Finder icon) or empty space on the desktop so you see this in the Menu bar.

In the Menu bar, select Go
Select Application

Locate and launch Google Drive

On the top right, click on the Google Drive icon
Confirm that it is signed with your LBNL account
If it is asking you to sign in, go head and sign in with your LBNL account credential

You should be able to access your Google Drive now
