The new Reading Lounge will open on Monday, April 11 in 54-002, the room underneath the Cafeteria.
The room will be staffed 8:00 to 3:00 Monday through Friday. (Please no food; drinks only.) The phone number will be 495-2176.
In this newly renovated location, a comfortable lounge setting is provided with a collection of new books that reflect and support the new and ongoing work that the lab is doing in the fields of carbon sequestion, climate modeling, artificial photosynthesis, solar photovoltaics, energy storage, next generation light source, among others. Laptop alcoves are available along with a fantastic view of Berkeley.
We will also have the newest editions of magazines and the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. (Older editions will be located in the Library in 50-4034.)
The Library, 8-4:30 M-F, is still located in 50-4034 and the bulk of the book collection in 50-4030.
