What is CrowdStrike?

CrowdStrike is a Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) tool that runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.

What does CrowdStrike do?

CrowdStrike provides advanced protection against viruses, malware, ransomware, cyber-attacks, and other malicious activity for LBNL systems. CrowdStrike also assists with forensics investigations

What is CrowdStrike replacing?

CrowdStrike will be replacing Sophos Antivirus and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Is CrowdStrike required?

How is CrowdStrike data used?

Crowdstrike data is used to identify and block potential threats, malicious activities and alert IT Security when further action is needed. CrowdStrike may use anonymized information to improve detection capabilities to improve its capability.

How will this impact end-users?

Sophos Anti-virus will be installed and CrowdStrike will be installed. This will be done in phases.
