The Lab utilize Zoom for virtual meetings, conferences, and hangouts. It is best for LBNL users to have Zoom setup correctly on their computer to have a smooth experience while using Zoom.
LBNL IT AV team has also created a Zoom FAQ page that is very helpful. Chances are many of the questions you have are there with answers to it.
Download and Install Zoom on to the computer
- Go to https://lbnl.zoom.us/download
- Download Zoom Client for Meetings
- Run the downloaded file and follow the on screen instruction to install Zoom
Add Zoom Scheduler extension to your browser
Zoom Scheduler extension only works on Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
Click on the instruction you want to see to expand it:

Joining or Starting a Zoom meeting
Always, always, always start your Zoom software and sign into using the Sign In with Google option on your computer before joining or starting Zoom meeting. If you do not, you may encounter odd Zoom behavior, certain features in Zoom may not work, or you may not be able to join/start the meeting at all.
