Best Practice For Windows system User

  1. Use Windows built-in password change feature. You must be able login to your Windows Computer:
    1. If you are not connected to the lab network with ethernet cable or lbnl-employee Wifi, you must connect to the VPN first
    2. Login to the computer with your AD credential
    3. Click ctrl+alt+del on the keyboard and select Change a Password
    4. Type in your current AD password and pick your new AD password

  2. ONLY use AD Management tool if step 1 does not work.
    1. Follow the instruction in Reset AD Password
