The NEPA/CEQA manager reviews the project scope for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), as well as other environmental regulatory areas including the National Historic Preservation Act and the Endangered Species Act. The NEPA/CEQA manager signs and provides comments, as applicable. For larger projects, an environmental consultant may need to be retained to prepare environmental documentation for the project.
