During project planning the Project team is selected. In addition to DCM personnel, the team includes Facilities Engineering, EHS, Fire Marshal, Procurement, Facilities Operations, Commissioning Team, the Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction for Installations (IAHJ) or his/her designate, and subcontractor personnel, as applicable. Identification of the Authorizing Individual and Responsible Individual is required for any maintenance, repair, or construction work performed by a subcontractor. Typically the AI is the Project Manager and the RI is the Construction Manager, but there may be variations. The AI and RI cannot be the same person.
