All DCM projects require some level of estimate. The Project Manager facilitates preparation of the estimate. The estimate may be prepared by in-house resources or a contracted estimating firm. The Facilities Business Center Estimator serves as liaison to the contract estimating firms.
Preparation of the estimate may be an iterative process, depending on how well defined the scope of work is, and applicable EHS, engineering documents, and code compliance requirements. As the scope develops and/or the need for a higher level of certainty estimate is required, the estimate may need to be revised multiple times.
