Installing eduroam on an iOS device is easy. Visit https://cat.eduroam.org/ and download the installer. The example below is from an iPad2.

Note, if you have an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini, iPad Pro, iPod Touch) acquired on June 6, 2011 or later, then you have an iOS device 5 or newer. Although based on iOS these devices were not tested for eduroam compatibility: Apple TV and Apple Watch.

1On your device, verify Wi-Fi is turned On, and you must be within LBL's eduroam network.

3Type "cat.eduroam.org" into the URL field. The eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool) weboage is the official place to download the installer.Image Added

Tap the blue-gray button that says, "eduroam user: download your eduroam installer" to download the software.

eduroam will auto-detect your device. The browser should indicate your iOS device.

When the location has been verified, you will see this screen. Tap "Install" to install the eduroam profile.

Agree to the Privacy, Security, Copyright, Disclaimer, and Accessibility text by tapping "Install" in the upper-right corner.

10Enter your passcode if you enabled the feature on your device.Image Added

Verify that you can join the eduroam network. To do this, go to the device's Settings, which looks like a gear icon. One way is to click the device's physical Home Button to return to the Home Screen.

Tap "Settings".

16In your Settings, choose your new Wi-Fi network to eduroam by tapping "eduroam" under "CHOOSE A NETWORK...".Image Added

iPhone

Open up safari on your phone.  enter: cat.eduroam.org 

click "select your institution"

"Lawrence Berkeley National Lab" should show up at the top  if you are near the lab (otherwise scroll down the list)

Click next

Click  "Apple IOS mobile devices" from the list of configuration files under the title eduroam configuration for LBL title 

click on "download installer for Apple IOS mobile device"

Follow the install directions (you will be asked for your username and password - use your enterprise directory (ldap) credentials.

 

iPad
