Overview
LabAlert provides timely emergency alerts to the lab Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) community via text message on your cell phoneemail, telephone, and text message via government-issued or private cellular telephones. It supplements Level1 and the Public Address system to quickly alert you of emergency conditions.
The service is "opt in". We encourage you to register your personal and/or your lab owned mobile device. You will not receive emergency notifications if you don't opt in. Don't forget to confirm your registration by entering the code you get via txt message. Please note: Google Voice and some carriers' text message plans do not support receipt of "short code" text messages. If you don't receive the validation text message, please check with your carrier.. As an employee of LBNL your work contact information is entered automatically into LabAlert. If you would like to receive notifications via private devices for potential laboratory closures, general emergency information, or potential impacts to the building you reside in, please subscribe by registering cellular information (see "Help" section for additional details).

- If you don't have an active LBL Username/Password, contact the helpdesk as below.

Getting Started
- Click on the big green button.
- Login (if you need to) with your LBNL Username/Password.
- Review your information under, My Profile.
- To edit your personal information click the blue Edit button.
- Add your information in the appropriate box.
- When you are done, simply click the “Save” icon at the bottom of the page.
That's all there is to it! LabAlert text messages will come from the number "893-61" and any phone calls will show up as 510-486-6288.
Emails may show they are from @everbridge.net or @lbl.gov . Links for interacting with LabAlert will link to https://everbridge.net or https://evb.gg, the Everbridge short link services Step 1: Click on the link above.
Step 2: Enter your mobile number (the number on which you would like to receive txt/sms messages)
Step 3: Check your mobile phone for the confirmation code and enter it on the page.
Step 4: You're done. Optionally, you can also opt in to voice messages or personal email messages on that page too. All of these will deliver the same message to you.

Rates
LabAlert is provided as part of the Berkeley Lab Technology Toolbox at no rechargecharge. However, you may incur text messaging charges from your cell phone provider at the normal rate you pay.
