Below are the generic instructions to install eduroam. For specific steps, please see Step 4.

The Lawrence Berkeley National Lab eduroam configuration site is https://cat.eduroam.org (https://cat.eduroam.org).

When you click on the link above, the Installer options on the eduroam site will look like this.

2Click on the bar for the operating system that matches your device.Note, there is new support for Linux and ChromeOS. Windows 7 and Vista are no longer supported. Some Windows 7 computers using a specific Intel chip might have an issue and would use a workaround

For Windows 7, you must download the Berkeley Lab-archived installer here.

The steps you will take after selecting one of the choices above are similar for all the operating systems.

 

You must restart your computer to complete the installation.

  • Save the installer to a location on your local drive
  • Find the downloaded file and run it
  • Run the installer application from that location

If you are presented with a User Account Control dialog box asking if you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer, click Yes

    • Program name:    eduroam configurator
      • Verified publisher:    TERENA
      • File origin: Downloaded from the Internet
  • Log in with your username and password. You may have to restart your device before joining the eduroam network.
