Purpose of knowledge article
This article provides instructions on how to give CrowdStrike Falcon extension the correct permission in the event it was not done correctly during the installation process
Resolution
addressing the CrowdStrike Falcon Customer ID Checksum (CCID) pop-up window. See example image:
Cause
A known cause is when the Login Items and Extensions permission was not provided correctly during CrowdStrike Falcon installation.
Resolution
1 | Click on the Apple icon in the top right corner | |
2 | Select System Settings | |
3 | Select General on the left column | |
4 | Select Login Items & Extensions on the right column | |
5 | Under the Login Items & Extensions page, scroll down to the Extensions section and look for Endpoint Security Extensions | |
6 | Click the icon to the right of Endpoint Security Extensions | |
7 | Slide the toggle to turn it on for Falcon | |
8 | Type in your computer password | |
9 | Click OK | |
10 | Click Done | |
11 | Once you done the fix, the Customer ID Checksum (CCID) will change to this. Notice that the two fields will be filled with the text "Already licensed, please continue" Click Continue and you are done |
