AT&T Wireless and Verizon Wireless are now offering devices to enhance indoor cellular coverage, whether in your Laboratory office or at your residence.   These devices provide a signal boost in a range of approximately 5,000 square feet.  All that is required is a Laboratory-issued cellular phone and an internet connection.

To Order:

Division approval is required.  Send email to Telephone Services and include the following:

• Your Lab cellular phone number and service provider
• Your office location or residential address
• Your project ID
• AT&T customers: all cellular phone numbers to be registered

AT&T Wireless – 3G MicroCell

Cost - $199.00 each (one-time)
Up to 4 AT&T cellular phones can be used at the same time
Up to 10 AT&T cellular phones can be registered to the MicroCell
Allows voice, text messaging, and data usage*
Requirements:

• AT&T 3G cell phone or smart phone
• Internet connection

*Note: use on the MicroCell will count against your calling and data plan

Verizon Wireless – Network Extender

Cost - $199 each (one-time)
Up to 3 Verizon cellular phones can be used at the same time
Cellular phones do not need to be registered
Allows voice and text messaging only* – no data usage
Requirements:

• Verizon Wireless cell phone or smart phone
• Internet connection

*Note: use on the Network Extender will count against your calling and data plan
