The EPS Control system is accessed through a software installed on the BCS PC. To open, it open a connection to the BCS-PC and find this icon:

Double click and wait until you see a screen like this appear:
You are now in the EPS system. Depending on the status of the beamline, you can open and close valves and shutters that have permission to be actuated.
If a valve or shutter has the 'verboten' sign (
), you cannot operate it.
Besides sanity checks if you don't see any beam in the beamline, the only possible reason why you might need to access the EPS system is for the 'handshake' procedure.
