  • The Project Coordinator establishes and maintains a Submittal Log using a standard format, as requested by the Project Manager.
  • The Project Manager ensures that the subcontractor is following submittal requirements of the subcontract.
  • Incoming and outgoing submittals are managed by the Project Manager. Submittals will be routed to LBNL subject matter experts as needed.
  • Design submittals are to be routed to the Architect/Engineer (A/E) of record (EOR) for review.
  • The Project Coordinator will maintain the Submittal Log, including the date the submittal is received from the subcontractor and the date a response was sent to the subcontractor.
  • Submittals shall be reviewed and returned to the subcontractor within deadlines set forth in the subcontract.

Operations and Maintenance manuals shall be requested to be provided with within 45 days after equipment submittal approval and transmitted to the Facilities Operations Team Lead for review. Early submittal of O&M manuals will allow Preventative Maintenance Programs to be developed prior to turning over to Operations.
