Purpose of Knowledge Article:
Free up space on your computer by removing trash/recycle bin files, temporary files, old system files, and unused software for Windows and macOS
Resolution:
| 1 | Type Disk Cleanup in the bottom left search bar and then select Disk Cleanup. |

| 2 | On the next window, check off everything that is taking up space i.e. Temporary files, recycle bin, thumbnails, etc. |

| 1 | Click the Start Menu |
|
| 2 | Type “appwiz.cpl “ and press enter | |
| 3 | Select the software and click uninstall. |
|
| 1 | Locate the Recycle Bin on your Desktop. |
|
| 2 | Right-click on the icon and then click on “Empty Recycle Bin”. |
|
| 1 | Click on the Apple logo and select “About This Mac”. |
|
| 2 | On the Storage tab, click on Manage. |
|
| 3 | On the left side of the window, you can select a category. To delete the application or file you have selected, click the “Delete” button on the bottom right. |

| 1 | Click on any blank space on the desktop |
