ITE-4 Abbreviated Dial

Abbreviated dialing allows you to store telephone numbers.   You can use abbreviated dialing for numbers that you call frequently.  The numbers are stored under a 1-digit access code (also called a storage number), which is any number from 0-9.  An ITE 4 phone is capable of storing up to 10 different telephone numbers. 

Each stored telephone number may contain up to 28 digits.  You can change a stored number at any time.  Keep a list of your stored telephone numbers handy.

In the following instructions, the symbol █ represents the storage number under which you store a telephone number.  You can use any number from 0-9.

To add or change a number:

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. You should hear the dial tone.
  3. Press # 4 * █
  4. You should hear a beep.
  5. Enter the new telephone number (include “9” for external numbers).
  6. You should hear two beeps.
  7. Hang up.

To place a call:

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. You should hear the dial tone.
  3. Press # 4
  4. The call should go through to the number dialed.
