Views allow you users to browse a lists of documents based on the defined document properties which are selected to display in view in a column layout.
The default views for the BPIP Template are By Topic, By Document Type, By State, Events and By Folder, which are represented on a Library's homepage in the left-pane under Document lists
To administer existing Views, click any view name in the list or Clone or Delete.
After clicking on a view, you can modify the fields you want to display as column headers and which fields to allow for filtering in the view.
This "By State" view definition configured by the Library Administrator translates to the below List viewable by the user
