The purpose of the Advanced Light Source-Upgrade Basic Program Information Platform tool (ALS-U BPIP) is intended to be used as a primary central repository of project documents for project teams to share files and data. Revision control, permission controls, and workflows enable users to share information with knowledge of whether specific information has been vetted, checked and approved, and avoids confusion about whether specific documents or information is up-to-date.
