Purpose of Knowledge Article:

Free up space on your computer by removing trash/recycle bin files, temporary files, old system files, and unused software for Windows and macOS

Resolution:

1	Type Disk Cleanup in the bottom left search bar and then select Disk Cleanup.
2	On the next window, check off everything that is taking up space i.e. Temporary files, recycle bin, thumbnails, etc.

1	Click the Start Menu
2	Type “appwiz.cpl “ and press enter
3	Select the software and click uninstall.

1	Locate the Recycle Bin on your Desktop.
2	Right-click on the icon and then click on “Empty Recycle Bin”.

1	Click on any blank space on the desktop	no image
2	Click Finder on the top left of the screen
3	Click on Empty Trash

1	Click on the Apple logo and select “About This Mac”.
2	On the Storage tab, click on Manage.
3	On the left side of the window, you can select a category. To delete the application or file you have selected, click the “Delete” button on the bottom right.
