Indico (conferences.lbl.gov) has been upgraded from version 1.2 to 2.2.2.

You will notice that the graphic user interface has changed, but the data has been migrated and all conferences remain the same. Instead of directly logging in via the ldap directory, indico will now use your Berkeley Lab identity and connect through single sign-on (Shibboleth). if you are using the sso (single sign-on) button to sign in versus a local(external) account, you will notice a few changes:

1) Your primary telephone number will now be listed. If you had multiple telephone numbers listed before, you will be synced to one (your primary) telephone number. On the homepage, you may notice a warning banner letting you know the field has been changed.

2) You will also receive a message letting you know it is the first time you logged in. Since this was a major update, this is normal behavior, as the way the Indico server authenticates to our ldap directory has changed. Shibboleth has also been added as a feature in this update and enabled. Once clicking "Login" then "SSO," you will notice that you will not need to type your credentials again if you already authenticated on your lab account elsewhere. The message is pasted below:

"You logged in using LDAP for the first time.

We have found an existing Indico profile Your Name which will be linked with this account once you click the button below."

After verifying, you are prompted to 'Add this account and log in.' Please do so and, in all other respects, your access to Indico will now behave as it did before.
