POLICYA. PurposeThis policy describes limitations on Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) employee acceptance of gifts. B. Persons AffectedThis policy applies to all employees. C. Policy StatementEmployees are prohibited from accepting any gift, gratuity, or favor from individuals or organizations with whom Berkeley Lab is doing business, or proposing to do business, if the circumstances might reasonably be interpreted as an attempt to influence the recipient(s) in the conduct of their duties. Employees in positions designated in the University of California Conflict of Interest Code are subject to specific limits on accepting gifts from reportable sources.
