RF Power Levels

  • All data stored here
  • Time estimate - request 4 hrs for margin
    • Peak power measurements: 0.5 hr
    • Scope measurement:
      • Validate trigger: 0.5 hr
      • Waveform alignment: 0.5 hr
      • Take data, moving cart with scope around, capturing overlays: 1 hr
        • TODO: add desired timing overlay captures
    • Restore all cables and confirm normal operation

LINAC Stability

  • Disconnect SMA100B MO output
  • Replace with FSWP Reference output
  • Use LMX1214 frequency divider to divide the 2,997.8 MHz signal back to 499.634 MHz MO reference
  • Measure phase and amplitude additive noise
  • Time estimate: 3 hr
    • Disconnect MO and confirm nominal operation with FSWP output as MO: 15 min
    • Confirm pulsed RF signal on high speed scope: 30 min
    • Measure additive and absolute amplitude and phase noise: 1 hr
    • Restore all connections and confirm nominal operation: 30 min
  • TODO:
    • Lay down required cable runs and check losses
    • Setup measurement infrastructure, power supply, cart, etc
