A template is essentially a page with pre-populated content.

You can use form field markup to prompt users for input in a form field template.

Creating a page template

1. Click the Browse tab located at the top of every page and beside the space link on the dashboard. Select Advanced (you must have "space admin" privileges to create a page template).

2. Select the "Templates" option in the left navigation panel, then click "Add New Space Template" as shown in the following screenshot.

3. In the "Create Template" screen, enter a name for your template in the "Name" text field and an optional description in the "Description" text field. Enter content in the text-entry box with Wiki markup as you would in any other Confluence page. Click "Save" to add the template to your list of templates.
