Purpose of Knowledge Article:
- This KA provides instructions to install Sophos Anti-virus on macOS Monterey 12.4 getting this error message:
- If you are not using macOS Monterey 12.4, see here.
Resolution:
To install Sophos Anti-virus on macOS Monterey 12.4, you will need to move the SophosInstall folder to Macintosh HD/Users/YourUsername/SophosInstall.
| 1 | Download Sophos here Note: you may be prompted to log in with your Berkeley Lab Identity account. | no image |
| 2 | Double click on LBL Managed Sophos 9.9.7 for macOS.zip to extract the file |

| 3 | A new folder called LBL Managed Sophos 9.9.7 for macOS will be created |
|
| 4 | Right-click the file and select Copy |
|
| 5 | On your Finder menu bar, click Go |
|
| 6 | Select Home | |
| 7 | Right-click empty space and click Paste Item |
|
| 8 | Open up the folder LBL Managed Sophos 9.9.7 for macOS folder you just pasted |
|
| 9 | Run Sophos Installer and follow the on-screen instructions to continue with the installation |
