Operating System Backups

Clonezilla

"Clonezilla is a partition and disk imaging/cloning program similar to True Image® or Norton Ghost®. It helps you to do system deployment, bare metal backup and recovery. Two types of Clonezilla are available, Clonezilla live and Clonezilla SE (server edition). Clonezilla live is suitable for single machine backup and restore. While Clonezilla SE is for massive deployment, it can clone many (40 plus!) computers simultaneously. Clonezilla saves and restores only used blocks in the hard disk. This increases the clone efficiency. With some high-end hardware in a 42-node cluster, a multicast restoring at rate 8 GB/min was reported." – http://clonezilla.org/

Symantec Ghost

"Symantec Ghost Solution Suite is an award-winning software solution for imaging and deploying desktops, laptops, tablets and servers. Ghost Solution Suite 3.1 includes the Deployment Solution 6.9 console and its core capabilities for operating system deployment, migration and cross-platform management. Combined with key functionalities from Ghost Solution Suite 2.5, like Ghost Cast Server and DeployAnywhere, Ghost Solution Suite accelerates and simplifies imaging and deployment." – https://www.symantec.com/products/endpoint-hybrid-cloud-security/endpoint-management/ghost-solutions-suite

Linux DD command

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dd_(Unix)

The dd command available in Linux distributions can do a low level copy of a hard drive. The advantage that this method has over other backup methods is that it can copy the disk as-is including non-partitioned space. This can be handy trying to undelete data without causing further harm to the deleted files' integrity.

Server Backups

Backup services consist of automated nightly, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or custom backups of system data. Normal backup schedules include one monthly full backup and daily/nightly incremental with weekly differential backups. However, we can accommodate any schedule/frequency required by the customer including one-time backups.
