Connecting to lbnl-employee using Intel PROSet Wireless on Windows XP

1. If you have just installed the driver software for your Intel wireless card, a dialog box will be presented asking if you want Windows to manage your wireless network connections. Choose No.
2. Locate your Intel PROSet Wireless icon in the system tray. If the icon is not in your system tray, you may launch the program from the Intel PROSet Wireless program folder, called "Intel PROSet Wireless."
3. Right-click the Intel PROSet Wireless icon and select "Open Intel PROSet/Wireless" at the top. If the menu does not have that option at the top, select "Use Intel PROSet/Wireless to manage Wi-Fi," then repeat step 3.
4. Locate and select lbnl-employee in the list of available networks. Click Connect.
5. The profile name and wireless network name (SSID) will be provided as shown. Click Next.
6. The security settings will be tested for a short period. Once completed, the following screen will be shown asking for more information. Click Next.
7. The following settings will need to be modified: Authentication Type: - TTLS
Authentication Protocol - PAP
User Credentials: - Prompt each time I connect
Click Next.
8. Click Next.
9. Click OK.
10. In the dialog box that appears, enter your LBNL LDAP username and password. Leave the Domain blank. Click OK. You will now connect to the employee network.
11. Another dialog box will appear above the system tray to verify that you are connected to the employee network and your network settings.
12. Click Close in the Intel PROSet/Wireless window to finish.
