IT manages and operates clusters for Laboratory researchers, including both PI owned clusters and Lawrencium, a shared cluster operated for the Laboratory.  IT provides consulting on all stages of system procurement and management, as well as on configuration and code optimization.  In addition, numerous other services such as collaboration tools, workstation management, unix system administration, backups, and software downloads directly support scientific computing.
