IT User Groups

Overview

Berkeley Lab has a number of active user groups to help our community get the most out of their computing experiences. Consider joining one or more to connect with your fellow employees and get peer to peer advice and assistance.

Lists

MUG The Mac Users Group: The long running and active Mac Users Group for all Mac and Apple users and enthusiasts. Monthly meetings, an active email list, and events.*

Google Users Group: A new user group for Google Apps. Get the latest information about new features, tips and tricks, and shortcuts.

Video Conferencing/AV Users:  A new group for those who use or support video conferencing, audio visual systems or streaming services.

Cycom: Cyber Security and IT related general mailing list. Any technology question or topic welcome. Requires Login.

Net-Notify:  An announcement list for staff who support networked systems at LBNL. The list receives notifications about planned and unplanned network outages and disruptions.

Coders: Open list for LBNL coders to network, communicate, and share coding advice and best practices.*

Arduino Users: LBNL forum for sharing and exchanging information, ideas, questions, projects, etc.  You are free to share anything Arduino here!

Wordpress Users:  Open list for LBNL developers using Wordpress, or Wordpress customers to share best practices and collaborate.

*Note, not an IT Division created/managed user group.
