ITAC Information Technology Advisory Committee

The Lab's Information Technology Advisory Committee, or ITAC, is made up of representatives from each division and many departments and provides input on computing and communication issues and policies which could affect the Lab. ITAC members regularly review proposals for new computer support programs, provide input on infrastructure issues and help develop strategic plans.

The committee, which meets monthly with IT Division management, serves as a liaison between the IT Division and the various divisions and key users of computing resources. ITAC serves as an advisory committee to IT by providing input regarding IT services and its infrastructure in support of Berkeley Lab. ITAC members also serve as a conduit for advising division members of current services available from IT.

Employees interested in providing input to the committee or learning more about ITAC should contact their organization's representative.

Telephone Service Advisory Committee (TSAC)

TSAC serves as an advisory committee to the department head of the Computing Sciences' Networking and Telecommunication Department by providing input on voice telecommunication services in support of the Berkeley Laboratory. TSAC serves the Berkeley Laboratory by advising division members of current services available.
