The Engineering Division organizes or co-organizes several seminars:

Mechanical Engineering Seminar Series (see next tab for more details)

The Mechanical Engineering Seminar Series (ESS) is a loosely organized seminar series (approximately once a month) on all things engineering across the lab: tutorials, findings, problems, past challenges, brainstorming, history, soliciting collaborations, ...  This is scheduled to be held monthly at various times and locations.

To be invited to the recurring meeting on calendar please email Brigitte Roberts at bmroberts@lbl.gov.

    General Engineering Seminars

This seminar series is an ad-hoc organized series spanning all disciplines and areas of the engineering division. A general level-1 announcement is sent out a few days in advance with more details about the seminar.

To be added to the mailing list (if you are not in the engineering division), please email Brigitte Roberts at bmroberts@lbl.gov.

    Interdisciplinary Instrumentation Colloquium

Front-line science builds on new ideas, but also relies on breakthrough instrumentation. Many activities in the Berkeley scientific community are directed towards developing advanced measurement techniques and instrumentation. Despite very disparate goals, some of these efforts share common problems and could benefit from sharing experience and expertise. As a first step in establishing a forum for information exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration in instrumentation research and development we are launching a monthly Interdisciplinary Instrumentation Colloquium.  We encourage participation from LBNL, UC Berkeley, Space Sciences Laboratory and collaborating institutions.

Last Wednesday of each month at 12:00 PM sharp at LBNL in the Building 50 Auditorium
