Opening of Registration

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the opening of registration for the 13th International Conference on
Topics in Astroparticle and Underground Physics, to be held in Asilomar, California, USA,
September 8-13, 2013.   The Asilomar Conference Center is located within a beautiful state park
on the California coast, between the cities of Monterey and Carmel.  Please see TAUP2013.lbl.gov for complete information.

We urge you to register and to reserve housing at Asilomar soon, as the capacities of the
meeting and the conference site are limited.

The parallel sessions of TAUP have traditionally provided an overview of the most important
recent results in cosmology and particle physics, dark matter and its detection, neutrino physics
and astrophysics, gravitational waves, and high-energy astrophysics.  We encourage collaborations and individuals to contact the parallel session conveners with suggestions for the parallel program.

Please submit abstracts on work suitable for parallel presentation.  The conveners, their email addresses, and the abstract submission form are available on the web site.

Prior to the start of the conference, a five-day summer school for advanced graduate students and beginning postdoctoral researchers will be held at Asilomar, covering TAUP themes. The online application for the school will be available on the TAUP website beginning April 15. Please encourage qualified students and postdocs to apply.  Some local support will be available to those selected for admission. The school is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and by the local institutions hosting TAUP2013.

The TAUP2013 poster is attached.

Best regards,
Frank Avignone and Wick Haxton, TAUP2013 co-organizers
for the TAUP Local, Steering, and International Committees

TAUP2013 is sponsored by Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory; UC Berkeley and the Dark Matter Search Initiative; UC Santa Cruz and HIPACC; Caltech and LIGO; Stanford U. and KIPAC; and IUPAP.
