Created JIRA Epic for evaluating what technologies may be useful From the survey, find out what tasks people want to achieve and then focus on documenting those. Kecia's plan was to develop a list of the most important questions that users want to answer. These will be useful for scoping and motivating the documentation of solutions. A stackoverflow Q&A site seems to the most popular discussed item. No one at JGI is responsible for the end-to-end storage of the data. Hard to find out who to ask questions of. Start documenting who is responsible for which data.
10min	Review of education plan development	Simona F Necula William (Bill) B Andreopoulos	Research on topics for teaching courses. Found bioinformatics R specific courses from universities Found paid courses for reproducible research with jupyter, a second course with JMP. $1661 for 20 people, 7 hour course. JMP is a more powerful alternative to excel, and suits people already using excel. LBNL is not covered by an academic license for JMP.

Kecia M Duffy and Jonathon (Jon) Bertsch will developing evaluations on the technical solutions for documenting data at the JGI.
William (Bill) B Andreopoulos and Simona F Necula will talk to the users who filled out the survey (plus the users who have licenses for JMP) to see what tools they are using and what they are interested in. See CIT-23 for further description.
